Commercialization
Probingon commercialises technologies developed at the Microwaves in Medical Engineering Group at Uppsala University. The primary commercial model is technology licensing: FAT-IBC, our validated wireless intrabody communication subsystem, is licensed to OEM manufacturers of implantable medical devices who integrate the communication layer into their own product platforms.
In parallel, selected technologies from the research portfolio advance toward full device commercialisation where clinical evidence and market size justify the longer development timeline.
FAT-IBC has been validated at TRL 6 through the EU-funded H2020 B-CRATOS programme and is ready for OEM integration. The technology handoff from the Microwaves in Medical Engineering Group to Probingon AB occurs at TRL 5, at which point Probingon takes responsibility for the full commercialisation pathway through to licensing agreements with OEM partners.
